The Sherry Netherland

After a bad stay at a nearby Hilton, arriving at The Sherry-Netherland felt like a fresh start. Jackie handled my reservation so kindly, and Jason at the front door and elevators was just as warm and thoughtful. Every interaction felt genuine. There were fresh flowers in my room and a handwritten note from hotel operations when I arrived. It was a charming touch that made me feel cared for. This team creates the kind of moments that stick with you. I'll absolutely return.

I left for The Pierre, one block away, and was relieved to find a hotel where guests are treated like guests. I'm never coming back here. The room came with loud hammering and drilling, plus a construction worker right outside my window. The front desk never warned me about the work or made any effort to fix the situation. Shoutout to Joanne. This place has stopped trying to provide a luxury experience. I paid a small fortune and was treated like an inconvenience. Even the supposed handwritten welcome letter was just a badly scanned stock letter printed onto a card, apparently to make it look as though someone had taken care with the welcome.

The location right across from Central Park is special, and this iconic hotel was beautiful and pristine. Our room was amazingly clean, and the daily service was the best we've had. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I'd absolutely recommend it.

I had a blast staying here, and I'm glad I chose it. Across from central park, the location is ideal. The large bedrooms were beautiful, spotless, and had personal touches, with old-world glamour in the decor. Complimentary soft drinks, chocolate at turndown, and a big smile were nice extras. My one small gripe was reception. Most of the desk staff seemed miserable and as if they were just going through the motions, with no real smiles or enthusiasm. One gentleman was charming and engaging, though, and had worked at the SN for 40 years.
