Update: I had to stay here overnight with my son, not for a vacation. The night desk worker was horrible. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, the comforter had cigarette burns, and neither the cable nor the phone worked. When I called from my cell to complain, she said, “I should have known you would be a pain.” The next day I spoke with an Indian woman who I believe is the owner. She was professional and pleasant. I admire that the motel houses homeless people, but I wouldn’t recommend paying to stay here unless you’re desperate. It’s the cheapest motel on the south shore and definitely not nice, though I found it bearable. The location is convenient, within walking distance of Target, Shop Rite, Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, and a good shopping center with pretty much everything you need. There are some shady characters around, but if you only need a place to sleep, you’ll be fine.
