The staff were nice, let us check out late, and held our bags afterward so we could enjoy our last few hours walking around. We booked this for a short-notice two-night stay, and the location and price were what mattered most. The rooms were fairly clean, though the bathtub had some stains. It met our needs. If you want somewhere fancier, prices in those parts of NYC are going to be higher.

I liked how close it was to MSG, the subway, and other attractions, and I’d stay here again. The staff were nice, and the king bed was comfortable. The room is showing some wear, but it was clean. The shower pressure was great; the bathroom fan in my room was loud and annoying. I wasn’t impressed by the hot breakfast and ended up having oatmeal each morning.

The breakfast was decent, and the location works well for conferences and entertainment. Still, the service wasn’t great and the rooms need updating. There was a wet patch of carpet by the couch. Our room was at 85 degrees when we arrived. We’d set it to 72, but after we came back that afternoon, the maid had reset it to 85. It took another hour and a half to cool down enough to be comfortable.

The restaurant staff were really kind and attentive, and the location was great. The breakfast was okay, but after five days of the same food, it got old. The hotel itself was probably the dirtiest I’ve stayed in: the carpets were nasty, and the sheets and towels had holes. The AC wouldn’t cool below 75 even though we set it to 71. We complained at reception a couple of times, but nothing was done. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, ever.
