Neat, clean houses, and the owner was humble and helpful. It’s a bit far from the main center, but very cost efficient. I’d recommend it to travelers watching their budget.

Parking was the dealbreaker. After 5 p.m., Yates Ave. is packed with cars along both sides and even the center island, with 4-5 cars tied to each house, so there really is nowhere to leave a vehicle. The Google Earth photo doesn't show that. The owner rents rooms without providing enough parking, and I ended up with a ticket. I suspect the owner is in cahoots with the Newark Popo and the PD is making money off guests who don't know the situation. Park in somebody's spot and your car could be vandalized. The guest house has code locks, the bathroom is separate and down the hall, and the rooms have been refurbished. Still, I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here. FaDa Guest House got my money, and so did the Newark PD. Thumbs down.
