The room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable, with a roomy shower and tub, bright lighting, a vanity, and a separate sink in the room. The lotion was especially nice, thick and rich, and the queen bed helped me get a good night’s sleep. I was on the third floor, away from the elevator chimes, and both the room and corridors were well air-conditioned. The hotel is newly renovated and has six floors. Getting there from EWR was straightforward after I called the front desk. The shuttle picked me up at the new P3 courtesy stop, about an 11-minute ride away, and on the return trip the driver may be able to stop at a terminal if you ask. My driver was cheerful and helpful, perhaps Colombian, though I’m not sure. I stayed one night on May 7 after landing at the airport. The location is surrounded by parking lots and feels awkward and inaccessible for visitors unfamiliar with American-style urban planning. Pedestrians have limited access, so you need the shuttle to get in and out. The views aren’t much to look at, but this place mainly serves airport passengers, flight crews, and airline-arranged guests. There’s a restaurant and bar on site, though I didn’t try them. I’d suggest taking the shuttle to EWR and eating in the terminal. Check-in and checkout were smooth, and I was happy with the cleanliness, staff, value, and sense of safety. Recommended for an overnight stay.

The Crossroads bar made the stay for me. The staff were warm and attentive, and served great drinks. I’d come back and spend more time at Crossword. The Aiden by Best Western in Newark, NJ was clean, comfortable, and easy to reach, with plenty of parking. The fee was reasonable too, under $20. I had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

Everyone I dealt with, including the shuttle staff and the people at check-in and checkout, was lovely. If not for them, this would be a one-star stay. The room was cold, and turning on the heater meant putting up with a loud rattle every ten minutes, so I had to switch it off. I could even hear the elevator ding from five doors away. The shower seemed to be installed wrong, making it hard to figure out how to get hot water, and it stayed icy for more than three minutes. The worst part was the cigarette smoke smell, which burned my nose and made the room feel like sleeping in a Vegas casino. I never got used to it. It was easily the worst hotel room I’ve had in 15 years of regular travel. For context, I arrived at 12:30 a.m. and had to leave by 7:30 a.m., so there wasn’t time to ask for a different room or make adjustments. It was a rough night.

Hey people, I’ve stayed at two other airport hotels because, well, I travel. I’m on my own, and the rooms here are spacious. The price is reasonable, though comfort isn’t perfect. It’s okay, that’s about all I’ve got to say. What do you think? Never mind.

We needed help figuring out how to get to the dock for our ship the next morning, and the front desk staff helped us sort out the transportation. They were also extremely helpful with check-in. I’d recommend this place to my family and friends.
