I lasted about two minutes before walking out. The only person who was nice was the front desk assistant. I was honestly scared to walk barefoot because the floor felt like it could leave me needing a tetanus shot. This was the second room they gave us: the first door wouldn’t open, and after three elevator trips, the front desk employee came up and couldn’t open it either. That should’ve been our cue to leave. The room we finally got was revolting. The smell of mildew, smoke, and something like decay hit as soon as we opened the door. The counters were badly burned, apparently by people doing drugs, there were holes in the walls, and black sludge dripped from the bathroom ceiling. The bed was a metal frame on the floor with sheets tossed over it, no headboard or blanket. The kitchen counters had what looked like bodily fluids on them, and the couch looked as if someone had drained a car engine over it. I could barely take pictures because the odor made me want to throw up. The website says “newly renovated,” but that’s false. The online pictures looked nothing like the room we saw. From outside and online the property looks decent; inside it’s filthy, rundown, and neglected. If the state houses people there with vouchers, that isn’t the issue, everyone deserves shelter. But charging the same nightly rates as legitimate hotels while advertising rooms that clearly don’t exist is unacceptable.

I booked two nights because I needed to be near work in the snow. The woman at the front desk was lovely when I checked in before my shift. The room looked old but seemed okay during my quick look before work. When I returned around 3 a.m., the lobby smelled like marijuana and there was no staff to be seen. The entrance key lock wasn’t working, so the door was open to anyone. I settled into my double room and went to bed, then saw it properly in daylight when I woke in the afternoon. It was filthy. They seem to have changed the sheets and tossed in towels and soap, then called it cleaned. Garbage was left in the kitchen cabinets, there was a dead roach in another one, and the microwave was dirty. The floors were dingy, with dirt and food under the beds, and looked as though they hadn’t been vacuumed or mopped for a long time. The bathroom had urine down the front of the toilet, toothpaste on the mirrors, shower scum, and someone else’s hair on the counters. It didn’t look like the room had been cleaned between guests. My coworker and I checked out early because it was so disgusting. I won’t stay here again, and I’ll call corporate in the morning.

The carpet was filthy and stained, the sink had cigarette burns, and the toilet needed plunging within half an hour. You have to order cookware. There were people using crack and meth outside, and possibly in the rooms. I didn’t feel safe and wouldn’t return.

My room was spotless, fresh smelling, and really comfortable. A special thanks to the kind housekeepers, Kendal and Lola. They listened so well, and Kendal was especially sweet when she wished me a blessed day. That made me smile. Everyone deserves that sort of kindness. Along with Jerry, they made my stay wonderful. Thank you all!

Everything felt comfortable, and the room smelled freshly cleaned. The temperature was just right, the staff were professional and polite, and the parking lot had plenty of space. It felt like being at home away from home. My needs were absolutely met. What more could you ask for? 💯
