I froze in the room because the heaters barely worked, and there wasn’t even a microwave or breakfast. The paint seems to cover up a disgusting place with roaches everywhere. I found them on the bed, and there was one in my coffee cup too. Thank goodness I looked before taking a drink. The towels and service were terrible, and when I left, my sneakers and the custom robe my daughter bought me were gone. They also tried to take $250 from my bank account. I have proof, so be careful with your card information. A friend got locked out of his room after work and had to stay with me. They wouldn’t refund his money. They didn’t care when the keys didn’t work either. They only seem to care about getting paid. I keep seeing complaints from other guests, and I’d say don’t book here. This place needs new owners and a serious cleanup, or to be shut down.

The room was clean, and the property itself was nice. Some parts really need better lighting, though. Without it, the place feels sketchy, and I wish I’d felt more at ease staying here. The front desk staff were professional, but neither of the two had a face mask on. You’d think a hotel would do what it could to help guests feel safe and comfortable.

The mattress was decent, but I hardly slept. There was a loud whistling sound that kept starting and stopping in the bathroom all night, maybe something in the pipe, and it was really irritating. The other guests were loud too, and you could hear everything. The room stayed too warm, and the AC unit was missing its thermostat, with the inner parts exposed, so I couldn’t adjust it. It was incredibly dirty as well. The carpet felt damp, there was hair from previous guests everywhere, and the furniture was sticky and stained. I paid about $150 a night, which was awful value. I only chose this place because I had no other options. In hindsight I might’ve slept better in my car. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The location was handy for shopping, and there was a really great diner across the street. The room was clean, and the continental breakfast wasn’t bad. But the heater blew cold air all night, and the blankets were so thin I slept in my coat. There was a loud buzzing all night that didn’t seem to come from anything in the room. It smelled strongly of smoke when we arrived, so we left the door open for an hour just to be able to breathe. The WiFi was awful too, constantly timing out and taking 10-15 minutes to load Google. I was exhausted, and once I warmed up, I slept like a rock. My partner didn’t sleep at all.

I know the place is under construction and in fixer upper mode, and I like seeing a property get restored. The room was cute, clean, and clearly newly renovated. Then we found one roach, then a bigger one, then another. We packed up and left at 11:30 at night, and had to find another hotel for the 3 day weekend. Roaches are a hard stop for me. Get rid of them first, then repair and paint.
