Hamlet Motel

The room looked clean at first, but it had bedbugs, even though I was supposedly given the best room. I can only imagine what the others are like. Getting out of the parking lot was awkward too, with tenants' broken-down cars on the property. The manager also seemed to drink every day. I'd give this place half a star.

I'm a local who passes by every day. As of June 27, 2023, the outside looked tidier and had been swept, so I'd give that part 1.5 stars. There's a new sign saying “Under NEW MANAGEMENT,” but I still wouldn't recommend it. I can't say anything about the rooms since I haven't seen them. I might edit this if I notice positive changes.

The room was dirty and in bad shape: a broken bathroom light, a nasty bathroom, dirty sheets, walls, carpet, and chairs, plus a lot of mold on the back wall. It was also sold to me as a queen, but it was a full. I paid more than my Priceline booking and was refused a refund even though I'd only walked around the room. Law enforcement had to get involved before I got my money back in cash. It seemed like this wasn't the first time this had happened. There are better and safer rooms 18 miles away for the same price. I strongly suggest avoiding this place.

There were about eight flies in the room, and I found a broken meth pipe there. Nobody would remove it, and he didn't seem bothered that two women were already inside, talking and possibly smoking meth. They were behind a locked door with the curtains closed, supposedly cleaning the filthy room. He wouldn't offer any discount or anything. I spent $60 of my hard-earned money on this disgusting place. They obviously don't mind drug use at the motel if they have two dope heads working as cleaners. I wouldn't recommend it to a dog, much less a person. Maybe an eighth of a star, and only because the room was cooler than outside. Disgusting.
