Best Western Shenandoah Inn

I’d happily stay here whenever I’m in town. The room was nicer than I expected, with comfortable beds and nothing looking worn. I also liked having Netflix and Chromecast built into the TV, plus shower gel from a dispenser.

The staff were pleasant and the stay itself was okay, but I was upset to be accused of smoking in the room on my return visit when I hadn’t. The odd part is that the room had smelled of smoke already when I checked in the previous time. Better records of these situations would help, especially when a room has an odor before a guest arrives.

The first night was fine, and the location was convenient for where I needed to go. But I’d asked for a ground-floor room because my mother uses a walker and couldn’t manage the stairs. The bedding had stains, the smell of illegal drugs was strong, and breakfast was only okay and cold. When an emergency came up, I explained it, but was still charged the full price. I wish I could rate this lower. Don’t waste your time.

Breakfast was great, and the place was clean with no bed bugs. But those beds are unbelievably noisy, all metal creaking. You can’t even roll over without waking everybody up.
