Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Newnan, GA

I was on a work trip and booked at the last minute through Booking, without time to read the reviews like I usually do. I work 12-hour shifts and just need a shower and sleep afterward. When I got back from work today, I found a roach crawling up the bathroom door and killed it. At first I thought it was a fly, until I saw it run and realized it was a roach. They come out in the dark when there’s no activity. The service desk didn’t seem to care and offered a different room, but roaches travel, so I declined. They told me to call Booking for a refund, but I expect the owner will deny it, as I’ve heard nobody gets one. I’ve never had this happen at a hotel before. I should’ve paid more attention to the stained rugs when I arrived. The walls and phone were dirty, and there was hair everywhere. Disgusting.

When I checked in on the 24th, they said I had to pay an extra $75 in case anything happened to the room. I did. The room was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned, so I went back to the desk and they moved me. I checked out on February 25, but as of March 4 the $75 that was supposed to be returned to my card was still missing. I knew there’d be a problem. I’ll never stay here again if I visit Newnan.

The night clerk who checked me in on 2/18/26 was great. He made check-in easy and gave excellent customer service. The room was better than most places I’ve stayed. I’d come back.

Debbie was great, and the staff were pleasant, so the staff gets one star from me. The lobby and hallways smelled good, but my room smelled horrific, like butt and feet, seriously. I’ve seen the same complaint in other reviews, so maybe it’s time to address it. There wasn’t any toilet paper or tissue in my room either. Do better for your guests and invest in the place you bought. Febreze at the very least. It was so bad, run, don’t walk.
