The Lodge at Kiln Creek Resort

I stayed several nights and really loved how quiet and comfortable the place was. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The on-site restaurant is worth checking out too. We sat on the patio by the golf course for a cocktail one evening, and they also serve hearty breakfasts. My stay at The Lodge exceeded expectations in every way.

Jordan checked us in and was friendly, polite, cordial, and professional. His employer is lucky to have him. The rooms were nicely appointed, though the bed frames and some other furniture showed visible wear. It’s a small lodge beside its golf course, with a private, upscale feel and a nice, safe location in the Hampton area. Parking is free and plentiful. It costs a bit much for what you get, but we were pleased and would likely stay again. It’s a nice alternative to the local hotels.

We had family visiting from out of town and were very happy with the accommodations and service for the wedding. It’s a great venue, with golf, tennis, a pool, and a restaurant, plus many restaurants nearby.

This review is for Whitley and Whitley only. The resort grounds looked beautiful from the little I got to see. My reservation was still active on my end, but their system had canceled it because of unexpected room damage. I was left without a room, hours from home, with less than an hour to get ready for my best friend’s wedding rehearsal dinner. I could feel the stress and panic tears coming on when the sweet girl at the front desk took charge and started working on a solution. Whitley was so kind, empathetic, and helpful. She stayed calm and considerate with me and everyone I heard her speak to, even with such a stressful surprise. I work in customer service too, and could tell she seemed a little nervous that I might get upset. The situation was serious and stressful, but it wasn’t directly her fault or anyone else’s. Things happen. After what must have been a lot of phone calls, she got me booked at a very nice sister property and even arranged to comp my trip. Things could have gone completely differently without Whitley going above and beyond while staying professional and empathetic. I guarantee y’all don’t pay her enough, but you need to.
