The location made it easy to walk to downtown shops and restaurants, and Paula was warm and helpful. Our third-floor room was quiet, clean, and tidy, and we didn’t hear other guests. Breakfast eggs and coffee were tasty, and we enjoyed having cookies available. We missed the wine and cheese hour, though it sounds like a nice touch. We’d never stayed at a B&B before, and my husband compared it to staying at a rich uncle’s house. It was a lovely one-night visit. The room cost a bit more during peak season, but I think guests would feel comfortable here.

When our train wasn’t leaving until later in the evening, long after checkout, they kindly let us stay and enjoy the space and a snack. Paula had already been so accommodating before our ladies trip, replying quickly and sweetly and keeping our bags safe while Mom and I explored Newport. Breakfast was a good start to the day, and we got several terrific suggestions for things to do. The B&B is also clean, quiet, spacious, and in a lovely, convenient spot. La Farge Perry House felt like home, and we hope to return soon.

Paula made everything easy and was so accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, with really fresh local produce and ingredients. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, and we’re already making plans to come back.

Breakfast was made to order and delicious, and the bed was wonderfully comfortable with lovely linens. Paula hosted us in this beautiful little inn, with rooms decorated impeccably in antiques. Just keep in mind that, like many old houses, there’s no elevator.

La Farge has held onto its historic character while still offering modern amenities. The rooms were gorgeous, and the location was lovely. Paula was the most helpful and accommodating innkeeper and host I’ve ever met. A lovely place.
