Falls Inn

The A/C was good, and that was about the only thing that made the stay bearable. The place is old, and the sheets and towels were dirty. The staff or owner were rude. Our flight was delayed and we arrived really late. At 2 a.m., the owner lectured me in the lobby for not calling to say I was “late.” I had to be up at 6 for a 17-hour day, and I’d thought motels and hotels always had someone there. That lecture really bothered me.

There’s a heater in the room, but the heat was off and we froze all night. It won’t go above 78. The older kids ended up sleeping in the car to stay warm.

BEWARE. I stayed for a week, and he demanded to inspect my room every day. Once he barged in while I was asleep and ran the vacuum. He threw away the pop I’d left on my side table for when I woke up with a dry mouth, called me names, and accused me of being a drug addict because I worked nights and slept during the day. His wife was nasty and rude too. I strongly recommend not staying here. BEWARE BEWARE.

We had a great one-night stay. The room was very clean, the mattress looked brand new, the TV worked, and the shower was hot. The A/C and heat both came in handy in the fall weather, and nobody bothered us. The price was great compared with nearby places. Booking was a little odd. I called ahead, but the woman had trouble understanding me and we kept getting disconnected. She took my name and number, and we ended up booking when we arrived at midnight. They didn’t want to book over the phone, which is fine. I just wanted to know we’d have somewhere to sleep.
