Blackberry River Inn

The breakfast was excellent, served in a bright, beautiful room with lots of windows. Our room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable, and two gracious gentlemen greeted us and were very helpful. We only booked one night while heading to Vermont, but now I wish we'd stayed two. Restaurants are a short drive in either direction for dinner. Land of Nod Vineyard is just 3.5 miles away and worth a stop.

Eating a lovely breakfast while looking out at the green mountains was a real highlight. The room was fantastic, and Marilillia was so kind and fun to chat with. A great stop, with lots of space but still a homely feel. Other quaint towns are only 15-20 minutes away.

We booked at the last minute and were welcomed warmly by the owner, who offered hot tea and delicious cookies. The inn is beautiful, and the price was very reasonable. Our room was spacious and lovely, the bed was comfortable, and the owner's breakfast was perfect. We hope to stay again when our travels bring us this way.

The homemade breakfasts were beautifully cooked, with clearly fresh ingredients, and they don't seem to cut corners anywhere. The staff give wonderful, personal attention, and the hospitality felt surprisingly genuine. Rooms have real historic charm, comfortable beds, plenty of phone chargers, and updated, beautiful bathrooms. Nothing felt tacky. We left feeling rested and uplifted. This is what an inn should be like, and a rare gem. We'll recommend it to everyone we meet.
