I’ve never stayed at the hotel, so I can only speak to the bar. Megan and John are fantastic servers and take great care of you and your group. The staff are all great, the food and drinks are good, and the prices are reasonable. Daily specials make it a good value throughout the week. It’s my favorite bar that still allows smoking, and Sooners fans can check out all kinds of memorabilia on the walls.

The breakfast was wonderful, with a big selection of fresh, hot food, and karaoke in the bar was fun with lots of people there. But we couldn’t sleep. A couple in the room next to ours were fighting, yelling and slamming doors for hours, until it finally stopped at 4 a.m. Our room heater also didn’t work. We called the front desk to report the disturbance, but never heard any employees address it, and it carried on.

The $100 damage deposit was the one thing I didn’t like. They do credit it back to your card a week later, which is fine as long as they return the money. Otherwise, everyone was friendly and the place felt very family friendly. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, with great beds and pillows. The pool was quiet and private, and they had warm, clean towels for after swimming. The complimentary breakfast was OK, but hey, it’s free. I’d definitely stay again.

The place smelled like cigarette smoke, which I’m not used to since I live in Florida, where smoking isn’t allowed inside eating establishments. I guess you’d have to get used to that. The bartender working Tuesday afternoon was pretty cool. It was just my buddy and me in there, and he hung out and chatted while we had a few beers and played trivia. The menu was limited, but he recommended the chicken bites and they were pretty good for bar food. Prices weren’t too bad. I paid under 20 dollars for three bottles of domestic light beer and the bites. I don’t drink very often, though, so it seemed like a better deal to me.
