1785 Inn

We spent a long weekend here with friends and family for our wedding, and it was unforgettable. Both wedding parties stayed with us. We had room to mingle and relax, and the industrial kitchen made food prep easy. Evenings by the fire and in the hot tub, plus time at the private bar and all the games, made the stay feel special. The views were AMAZING, especially the breathtaking mountain sunsets. This place is one of a kind, and I plan to come back.

The views and privacy made all the extra checkout effort worthwhile. Just keep in mind that this is a non-staffed Inn, so you'll need to do a bit more yourself when leaving. We also ran into a couple of things that weren't working, the AC in the main dining room and the industrial dishwasher, and they were trying to fix them during our stay. It was built in 1785, so set your expectations accordingly. We had 31 people, including nine small children, for an intimate wedding in front of the mountains. The weather worked out beautifully, and we got to use the outdoor games, hot tub, and pool late in the season. We could use everything on the property, including the bar and industrial kitchen, and sit by the fire while enjoying the views. Working with the hosts was easy, and having Hope there locally was a huge help whenever an issue came up. The 1785 Inn was absolutely magical.

We only stayed one night, but we're hoping to come back soon. The mountain view from the backyard is hard to beat. Our clean room had its own clean bathroom, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast had about four choices, plus a little homemade pastry as a sweet extra.

The award-winning breakfast every morning was even more breathtaking than the scenery. We stayed a couple of nights last October, and the back lawn had an incredible view of the Mt Washington Valley. Watching the sunrise light up the autumn leaves was spectacular. There's also a peaceful, easy hiking trail right out back. Charlie and Becky were accommodating, and our cozy room had everything we needed. I loved the stay and will be back for sure. In fact, I'm returning next week!
