Yankee Clipper Inn, SureStay Collection by Best Western

The service is great, and the room is nice and clean. We've stayed here for years, always for one night while on vacation, and it's right in the center of everything we need. The sliding patio doors are handy for loading up the car after serious shopping. We were used to the Blueberry Restaurant being open for the breakfast included in the price. Last year there was no breakfast, though Mcds across the street helped a lot. This year the website says breakfast is included again, but it's grab and go. At $280 US a night, I wasn't impressed. Next year I'll look for a better breakfast for that high price. Still, folks, it's a great place to stay.

The staff were lovely and friendly, and the location is good. We had to wait a few hours for the room because it was a busy time and housekeeping was understaffed. We understood and came back two hours later to check in. Unfortunately, the room was dirty. It had potential and could have been nice with proper cleaning. My husband enjoyed the big TV, and the bed was fairly comfortable, but the rug looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in a long time and had stains. I booked this birthday getaway with my husband for the jetted tub, but it was filthy, with long dark hairs in the tub and shower. The bottom of the shower curtain had soap scum, the toilet was dirty, and there were hairs on the floor. I had to go to Hannafords to buy bathroom cleaner and a sponge, then scrub the tub, toilet, and floor myself. I have the receipt to prove it. On my birthday, I had to clean a bathroom. I'm very disappointed. If the room had been cleaned properly, the visit would've been much better, and I wouldn't be spending my time writing this review. 😞 😭

The room smelled, the bed was terrible and sagged when we lay down, and the motor for the tub jets was taped up and covered in dirt and mold. The bathroom had no bar soap, watered-down body lotion, and a broken towel rack. For breakfast, they gave us a bag with a frozen Jimmy Dean sandwich, juice, and some kind of energy bar. We had to go back to our room to heat it and eat on the bed since there was no table or chairs. We were in New Hampshire for our anniversary, and $726.73 for two nights wasn't worth it. We should've chosen another hotel. This felt more like a motel. It was definitely a disappointing stay, and we won't be back. Please take note.

The pool is small, but it suits the hotel's size, and having it heated in winter is a big plus. After a long day, the Jacuzzi was just right. I also appreciated being able to request a late checkout. Check-in was easy, and the woman at the desk was really friendly. The building looks freshly renovated, and my room was clean, with a big TV, fridge, and microwave. The location is great, with lots of restaurants and attractions close by. Breakfast comes in a grab-and-go bag with a sandwich, juice, and a snack. If you want more, there are lots of breakfast places nearby. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.
