Wyndham Garden Erie

Everything looked modern, welcoming, clean, and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was fresh and very good, and the kids especially liked the waffle makers. The clerk was friendly and accommodating, and even got us into our room early. We chose the hotel because it's attached to Splash Lagoon, and I can't understand the two-star rating. I had a great stay and nothing to complain about.

The hotel being connected to Splash Lagoon made the visit easy for our family, and it exceeded what we expected for the price. We had clean, spacious rooms with soft sheets, and the small kitchenette was convenient. The kids loved the jacuzzi tub, the included breakfast was good, and the staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Michelle. They were very kind and accommodating with my questions and requests. One minor annoyance: the shampoo and soap bottles are fixed to the wall, so little kids may need help reaching them to wash their hands. The shampoo and conditioner also aren't suitable for longer hair, anything past a very short haircut. We had a great stay and hope to come back soon.

Being attached to the water park worked really well for a winter weekend with the family, and the breakfast area was pleasant with good basic options. The suites gave our family of five lots of extra space, and the beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding. We also liked having a kitchen and a stovetop, even if we didn't really need the stove. The shower's hanging line was handy for drying wet suits. The place could use some updating. The old-jetted tub was dirty, and the fold-out bed had noticeable stains. The kitchen had no supplies, so paper towels, dish soap, and a few plates, mugs, and utensils would've helped a traveling family. Hot water at every sink and in the shower got scalding, which made me nervous with the kids.

The room was very clean, smelled lovely, and came with plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We also had a huge jacuzzi tub in the room. The full breakfast was included and pretty tasty. Honestly, I was more impressed by the room than by the water park.
