Cedar Glen Lodge

The view from the property is beautiful, and you can see the lake. We had a great time at Cedar Glen Lodge. The staff were helpful and really kind, the room was nice and clean, and the hot tub was awesome. Even the pull out bed was surprisingly comfy, for a sofa bed anyway.

We stayed in cottage 8 and will totally come back. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and the heaters and fireplace kept the space warm. It was nice to have a separate bedroom, with a king sized bed, plus a pull out couch with a very comfortable queen sized bed. The bathroom was really nice and clean, with a little separate wall heater.

The one thing I didn’t like was a family checking in at 9:30pm and going in and out of their room for a whole hour. I think the lodge needs a cutoff time for check-in. Otherwise, it was super nice. The beds were really comfortable, the room was very clean and warm, and the staff were super friendly. Coffee was ready in the lobby, and there’s a coin-operated laundry room and a nice fire pit with two BBQ grills. I saw a coyote while I was there, and there are bears in the area, so be careful.

The kids loved making s'mores at the fire pit, and Charlie, the GM, was a delight to work with. Shawn was so helpful onsite from check-in through check-out. Cedar Glen’s location is perfect, just across from the lake and a short distance from downtown and Tahoe city. We absolutely loved our stay this weekend and highly recommend it!
