Marty made each day easy to plan. After breakfast he'd check what we had in mind, offer maps and directions, suggest places to pick up lunch, and make dinner reservations for us. The food was a treat too: breakfast every morning, complimentary wine and appetizers each afternoon, and fresh-baked cookies and muffins in our room. We could also go into the kitchen for snacks anytime. Our room was spacious and comfortable. My husband and I spent four wonderful nights at the Shore House. It's a beautiful property right on the lake in Tahoe Vista, peaceful and quiet, with amazing views. Marty is an incredible host. We've stayed at many B&Bs, but this one stands out, and we can't recommend it highly enough. If you're visiting Lake Tahoe for something other than gambling, Shore House is the place to stay.

We've stayed at the Shore House several times and like trying a different room each visit. During our last stay, we had couples massages overlooking the lake, just amazing. There's a private beach, and Marty really cares about making sure guests have a good experience, from breakfast and afternoon wine and appetizers to dinner reservations. The breakfast is awesome. Best location and service in Tahoe!

Marty and his staff carefully look after everything guests need, and we're already looking forward to our next trip. The Shore House is a perfect getaway, right on the lake in a peaceful, calming setting. The accommodations are soothing and immaculate, with a rustic feel. I'm already recommending it to friends.

We were at the Shore House for three nights at the start of June, and it was hard to leave. The house is right beside the lake, and we could walk down to admire the clear water. The room and facilities were great, and the host family made us feel comfortable right away. They cooked excellent breakfasts, recommended the best hikes in the area, and arranged good restaurant reservations. A great Bed & Breakfast.

Barb helped us plan things to do each day based on what we enjoy and are able to do. There's plenty to see and do in the area. The innkeepers, Barb and Marty, and their staff, Rusty and Taylor, were incredibly helpful. We ended up feeling like friends. The lodge is right on Lake Tahoe beside a beach, with peaceful, rustic but elegant rooms. It's also immaculately clean and beautifully maintained.
