The price is very reasonable. I knew the prior owners, Jim And Maria A., and the place still has that charm and character. There’s a pharmacy nearby and a few restaurants. You can ski all day Saturday, check in, grab dinner, and watch a movie, then have coffee Sunday morning and walk to the beach, just a minute away. I’ve stayed there dozens of times, and it still feels like a rustic North Shore Tahoe community.

The rates at the big 7 are reasonable, but there’s no Wi-Fi or air conditioning. There isn’t even a table or chair for using a laptop. You get a bed, bathroom, TV, heater, fridge, and coffee maker. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.

The rooms were clean and neat, and the manager was polite and helpful. It’s a nice little motel, close to Squaw valley, Mt rose, and northstar.

For a very reasonable price, I got a comfortable bed, a clean room and shower, and really warm water. The manager was super nice too.

It’s a fairly cheap, no-frills motel. Kings Beach is easy to get around on foot, and staying here puts you closer to Northstar than Truckee.
