Tahoe Chaparral

We arrived tired and hungry, only to find the microwave didn't work when we tried to warm up leftovers. The furniture had been put away as if the unit were being winterized, and we were completely dissatisfied with choosing this place. Check-in took a while because nobody was onsite. We had to do it over the phone, and the staff were very busy.

Our balcony had beautiful views, and the mountain air was fresh. The setting in the forest, about a mile from the lake, felt friendly and romantic.

The lake view is beautiful, the atmosphere is great, and the service is friendly. I'd definitely come back!

Getting checked in was easy, and whenever we needed something, staff responded quickly and courteously. They also gave us passes for local beaches, including some areas that are almost exclusive to homeowners and weren't as crowded. One of those beaches has an outdoor pool too. There's plenty of hiking and other activities nearby, and the ski resort is easy to get to. We stayed in a three-level condo with HD TVs in every room. The living room was a nice place to relax in the morning and evening, with a fireplace and presto logs included. The deck has a good lake view. The location is very nice. Remember to bring shampoo and conditioner, since they aren't provided.
