La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham N Little Rock-McCain Mall

We usually choose La Quinta Inn for its awesome breakfast, so we were very disappointed. All they had was biscuits with gravy and small sausage patties. The waffles were the only thing worth eating, but there was no syrup. No eggs, sausage links, or yogurt either, so my family and I ended up eating at the IHOP across the street. We shouldn’t have had to do that. We arrived very late from Florida, and I kept calling the hotle to say we were nearly there. The service was great, but breakfast really let us down.

The bed and water pressure were the only decent parts of our stay. A roach crawled across the counter, the tub surface was cracked, and the breakfast bar had raw sausage. An employee knew it was raw but didn’t warn anyone or take it away promptly, just said the sausage at the bottom was more done. 🙄

On my second stay here in four years, the cleanliness was much worse than during my first visit. The property is obviously under new ownership. There were soiled doors, a green pool, a roach on the sink countertop, and a broken toilet. I like giving a place a chance to fix problems, but there are too many other places to stay around Little Rock.

It was a horrible stay from the start. We had to try three rooms before we found one clean enough to sleep in. The staff required a $100 deposit to ensure “no smoking,” yet they tried to put us in a room that smelled like someone had smoked marijuana in it. The doors were dirty and discolored, the towels had black stains, and the hallways smelled of marijuana. At checkout they refund the $100 to your car without checking the room, so holding the money was pointless. The pet charge is also per pet, unlike other LaQuinta hotels where it’s free or one fee per night. I’ll never return.
