We got a decent last-minute deal, and the room was clean. It was quiet without loud party crowds, the ocean view was lovely, and the spot is close to stores and restaurants. But the amenities felt too small for a building with, if I counted right, more than 80 rooms. There are two small pools, a tiny kiddie pool, a lazy river, and a hot tub that felt like a lukewarm bathtub. The water never got properly hot. The outdoor pool was warm, the indoor one freezing, and both were so packed it was hard to swim. The staff weren’t rude, but they didn’t feel friendly either. No smiles or greetings, just lots of watching. They walked around the pool area and stared while people were trying to use the amenities, which got uncomfortable. We also wouldn’t have booked if we’d known the hot tub rule was no one under 14. Our teens like to relax and chat in the tub after swimming, but they couldn’t go in even with us there. It was a clean, convenient place with a good view and quiet setting, but the facilities didn’t match the size of the building and the atmosphere could be friendlier. Not a bad stay, though probably not one I’d repeat for those reasons.

The four couples in our group enjoyed the stay, and getting in and out of the property was easy, so exploring the area was hassle-free. We were in room 905, a roomy four-bedroom, three-bath condo with a huge balcony, plenty of seats, and lovely views. The kitchen had just about everything for cooking and eating, though we could’ve used more hand towels and dishwasher pods. The condo was clean, but the floors seemed overdue for a good cleaning and left our feet black. The mattresses were comfortable enough, though they may need replacing soon to keep up the standard Grand Strand Resorts offers. One thing to keep in mind is that motorcycle event weekends can be noisy and disruptive. Even so, we had an enjoyable, memorable trip, and the spacious rooms, equipped kitchen, and convenient location made it a success. We’d recommend it to people looking for a comfortable, relaxing Myrtle Beach stay.

We were on the 13th floor, with amazing views. It’s a unique, well maintained building, and every condo faces the beach with nothing blocking the view.

The size and accommodations really put me at ease. We rented a beautiful four-bedroom condo for our 50th wedding anniversary, and I’d highly recommend unit 401.
