The condo itself deserves five stars, but after a run-in with the "HOA President," the experience gets a negative rating. People don’t spend money to be harassed by some miserable old man with nothing better to do!

The view gets five stars, but the condo gets two. When we walked into Condo 201, there was a strange fish smell. I could get past that, but the sheets had hair on them and didn’t seem clean, so I went to Walmart and bought new ones. The owner reimbursed us for the sheets and one day. The condo needs updating, but I guess you get what you pay for. For your information, the whole building shares one rusty washer and dryer on the first floor.
We stayed in 302, and it was just okay. The unit had an overwhelming, unpleasant smell when we arrived that lasted all week. It hadn’t been cleaned well before check-in, with dust bunnies around and rugs that needed sweeping. The bed was the worst part, just a hard mattress on a piece of wood on the bed frame.
Chateau Manor #304 was the most disgusting place we’ve ever stayed. We ALWAYS rent from Elliot rentals and are always happy with our stays, but this unit smelled of urine and feces and had mold and rust everywhere. I developed a horrible blister on my chin from using the pillows provided. When I removed the pillowcase, I found the pillow covered in rust. I have photos of both the blister and the pillow. We expect a FULL refund without question. I’ve taken more than 50 photos and will make them public. How dare NMB make people wear masks while renting units that are making people physically sick.
We spent a week here and have nothing bad to say. This cute one-bedroom is right on the beach, with a private deck where you can relax or head down to the sand. It’s in N Myrtle Beach, SC, just far enough from the crowds on the main beach, and it’s perfect for a couple. All the amenities are there, and the price was very reasonable. A gem in every way. I highly recommend it if you’re spending time in Myrtle Beach.
