Everything was kept so clean and nice, thanks to the amazing housekeeping. Elliott rentals are the best, and this is my favorite place to rent at the beach.
The beach access and view were fantastic, and once we picked up supplies, our small group was comfortable in the condo. But we won't book again. We were there in early March, so the cramped parking lot wasn't crowded, thankfully. The condo had no dish soap, garbage bags, spare blankets, or throws, so we had to make a grocery run for basic weekend supplies. The welcome bag was barely any help: a few restaurant coupons, one tiny soap for several girls sharing two bathrooms, and a single-use packet of laundry detergent. We bought more soap. I've stayed in plenty of rentals, but this was the first that provided so little. The towels were linty, my duvet had a huge hole, and with the wind blowing hard, we couldn't understand why there were no extra linens or throws anywhere.
The elevator room on the first floor reeks of urine, and I found roaches in the silverware drawer when I reached for a spoon. There was old toilet paper caked on the plunger beside the toilet, too. The biggest issue was how dirty the place was. Walking barefoot, I immediately got black grime on my feet, even after a nice shower. I could feel the boards shifting under the tub while showering. I'm only on the first floor, thankfully, so if I fall through, I'd probably live, lol. Parking is cramped, though I get that for a busy beach area, and there is parking across the street. I don't usually leave bad reviews, but I'm not sure what the cleaning fee pays for. I'll stay somewhere else next year, and hopefully they'll clean up their act, haha.
We spent a week at Hyperion Towers for our summer vacation and enjoyed ourselves. Our two-bedroom condo was spacious and very clean, and we're looking forward to coming back next year. The pool was definitely too small, though my 10-year-old son still had fun in it. Wi-Fi was the other drawback: it worked for a few hours during the day, then cut out at night when we were in the room and needed it.
