Palmetto Dunes #302 3 Bedroom Condo by Redawning, North Myrtle Beach

The bunk room had candy wrappers and trash wedged between the beds and the walls, dirty floors, and stickers from new clothes stuck to a wall. That was only part of the problem. In the kitchen, the cabinets under the sink had droppings and dirt where dishes are stored, there were no pots or pans, the wood floor was coming apart, and all the glass was smudged with fingerprints. The coffee pot even had old coffee in it when we arrived. There was so much else wrong with the room that it's too much to type. I got here to start a weeklong vacation at Palmetto dunes and was extremely disappointed with Elliot rentals. They should stop helping whoever owns this unit.

The view was amazing, and we loved being just steps from the beach. The staff at Seaside Vacations were wonderful, helpful, and accommodating, with no complaints there. The condo itself had less-than-ideal parking, rock-hard beds that left me so sore I considered sleeping on the floor, and some silly rules: no mopeds or golf carts, and no backing into parking spots.

It's handy for the beach, parking, and local amenities, and the beaches are less crowded, though not secluded. The bathroom was still dirty even after the cleanup before check-in, with hair on the floor and a dirty shower door. Aside from that, I'd stay again.

I've stayed with Elliott for years, and this unit was nothing like my past experiences. It needs some care, and I hope they'll make it right. At check-in it wasn't clean; some doors were broken, the ceiling drywall texture was separating, AC vents dripped condensation onto the floor, the kitchen soffit sagged, and floor tiles were cracked, among other issues. Happy vacation hunting, folks.
