We had a great time, and I’d stay again, but this is a typical 30-40 year old condo on the water that could use maintenance. Some popcorn ceiling was flaking, the deck had soft spots, a bathroom light fixture seemed to be pulling away from the wall, and the exhaust fan was coming loose from the ceiling. The place could use paint. On the other hand, the kitchen and bathroom countertops looked fairly new and nicely done. We reported the deck and Thomas sent someone to inspect it within an hour. These issues didn’t really affect our stay. There were 11 of us in Unit C1 for a week in October 2022: six adults, three teenagers, and two children under six. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms worked for us, and there was a pullout couch we didn’t need. We brought our own pack and play for the youngest. The kitchen was very well stocked; we cooked every meal without trouble finding what we needed. Thomas beach rentals was easy to work with and replied promptly to our questions. The beach was only about 100 feet away, with a walkway right off the private balcony, so we could leave beach chairs and toys there between trips. The location was great, with an uncrowded beach, grocery stores nearby, and other things we wanted to do close by. Myrtle Beach’s center was about a 30 minute drive. Internet was decent, but not strong enough for a reliable conference call. We could stream video at night on the Apple TV we brought. The pool wasn’t heated and felt quite chilly in October. We were also only given two parking passes, so one car had to go in overflow parking down the street. I gave it three stars for the appearance and the lack of amenities like a gym or a heated pool.
