Sea Castle 7D

Sea Castle is made up of individually owned oceanfront condos, and the owners handle rentals either themselves or through a company. Any problem with a rented unit has to be addressed by that owner or their agent, so it’s worth reading reviews for the specific condo. Complaints about a rental company don’t necessarily say much about Sea Castle or a particular unit. About half the condos are full-time homes or second homes that aren’t rented out. The building has 56 three-bedroom, two-bath units. There are large decks facing or overlooking the ocean, cable with several hundred channels, Wi-Fi over 500 Mbps, a pool, hot tub, sun deck with loungers, secured access to the pool and beach, covered parking with overflow across the street, and two recently upgraded elevators. The beach in front tends to be less crowded than the one at the big resorts. It’s not a hotel or resort, so there’s no central office or manager, and it doesn’t have all the amenities those larger places offer. This isn’t a party complex. Condo association rules apply to everyone, including renters, and owners can raise problems with your unit’s owner or the management company. Occupancy limits are enforced, and renters can’t bring pets, even if an owner would allow it.

That ocean view is already something I miss. We stayed in 6c for a week, and the condo was roomy and really clean, just right for our family of five. The pool and hot tub worked perfectly for us, with the kids swimming and all of us relaxing in the tub together. Our six- and seven-year-olds liked sharing the twin bedroom, while our 13-year-old had the queen room to herself. We also loved the master suite with its king bed and full bath. We can’t wait to return, and we’ll definitely try for the same condo.

The views were the best part, absolutely beautiful. I stayed in 4F, which was updated and very clean. The beach was clean and not crowded, and there were lots of food choices. Security was great too.

I came back after a few years and spent a week at Sea Castle. The view and the area were great, and the room was clean, spacious, and nice. The exterior and shared spaces were in very good shape. Since my last visit, they’d added security cameras in the parking garage, and the pool area looked like it had recently been repainted.
