Shalimar 3b 2 Bedroom Condo by RedAwning

We've tried several units in Shalimar over the past couple of decades and love this beach location. The beach is fantastic, the area doesn't get overcrowded, and the units are top notch and well managed. The pool and patio are always spotless, and the elevator is clean and maintained. Prices feel worth it, and it's been a great experience every time.

We stayed in 2C, a bright, clean, comfortable condo with enough room for our family of four and one more family member. The kitchen was recently updated, nicely equipped, and had good design choices. The building is right on the beach, with lovely ocean views, and the beach wasn't too crowded. The place is comfortable and well maintained. Getting to and from the beach each day was easy, and the washing station came in handy. The pool area was comfortable even with several families swimming. Shops and restaurants are convenient, but the location still feels quiet. We heard almost nothing from other condos and only occasional street noise. Condos are available through VRBO or directly from owners.

We arrived at 3:40, loaded the cart, and then found the elevator would only go up and down without opening. Someone was stuck inside. By 4:16 we were still having trouble, and although we called maintenance right away, no one had arrived. My wife couldn't use the stairs because of her leg, and other people waiting said the problem had been going on for a while. UPDATE: They kept trying to repair the elevator, but it was still broken. Even so, the room was very nice and updated. The condo owners refunded one night's stay without us asking, which is unheard of. I really appreciate it.

Staying in the Shalimar condo felt more like being at home than in a hotel. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a whirlpool sauna in the main bedroom. There were dishes, pots, and pans in the cabinets, and Maria, who looks after the condo, had left some paper towels and toilet paper. We had a very enjoyable stay at Cherry Grove Beach, NC. Thank you!
