We left our vacation three days early after the HOA and condo owners around us harassed our family and made false accusations. We had corrected a rule violation that happened because of a misunderstanding, but we were treated as guilty until proven innocent. We spent three days miserable and worried about being fined over something we didn't even know we'd done wrong. After a walk-through found no damage or proven issue, we were told there would be no fine. The next day, while our child and I were leaving a movie, I got a voicemail from condo world threatening to kick us out if we didn't stop the behavior we'd been falsely accused of. We hadn't known there was any confusion. The resort rules weren't clearly explained before or after booking, and there's a major disconnect between renters and management separate from the resort. The HOA here is awful. I have never been through anything like this, and my son cried so much as we left the beach three days early. We no longer felt safe staying there. I was told they'd kick us out if someone complained again, but they never found the person actually breaking the rules and kept blaming us. I'm furious with the HOA and condo world for ruining our child's vacation. The HOA should never have that kind of power over the whole resort. Anyone booking needs to know every rule, especially when booking through a separate management company, since misunderstandings can happen and details may be buried in rental agreement fine print. I'll never return. A few people I spoke with were nice, but everyone at the resort and condo world made us feel that one small mistake made us guilty of everything afterward, even when we tried to fix the situation. I also went to the front desk, though our condo wasn't booked through them and they had nothing to do with it. The man between the women was rude. When I said I didn't want my husband to speak with them because he was very angry, he had the nerve to say, "Oh that's ok, if he tried anything we would just have him arrested." What is wrong with you? The condo wasn't worth the money either. We were in unit 6009 on the "6th floor" and could hear pool music from 9am to 10pm. The beds, comforters, and sheets were like hotel bedding. The ceiling fans wouldn't run on high, either because of a resort power issue or because the owners set them lower, so we had to buy a fan.

I paid over $1,200 for what was advertised as a platinum condo at Tilghman Beach & Golf Resort, expecting something top-tier. Instead, the unit was outdated and not properly cleaned. The light brown couches and dining chairs were filthy, and the refrigerator was dirty and smelled awful. There was glass on the floor and even in the bed in my dad's room. It was my sister's birthday, and although someone came to "freshen up" the condo, we should have asked for a refund and left. In the room my kids and I used, I had to sanitize the sheets before we could lie down. The box spring had a stain, and there was visible mess around the bed frame that looked like something had spilled and not been cleaned. We tried to make the best of the weekend despite all those red flags. Before checkout, we washed, dried, and put away the dishes without even using the dishwasher, wiped everything down, cleaned the bathrooms, took out the trash, and swept and mopped. We left the place in much better shape than we found it. Two days later, they charged $500 to my card, claiming we'd cracked a table. That's completely false. The table wasn't damaged when we checked out, and a proper inspection right after our departure would have shown that. This place is unprofessional, poorly maintained, and not worth the cost. I won't stay here again.

My wife and family have been coming to the Tillman since it first opened, and we love it in every season. It’s a beautiful place with great facilities, amazing views, and amenities. There are one to three bedroom units on the beachfront and by the golf course. The golf units at the back are away from street traffic and the wind, while the corner units have lovely views in both directions. Give it a try on your next trip, you’ll love it too.

I woke up being bitten and found bed bugs. I talked to Dustin, the manager, about getting another room or a refund. Instead, I had to find somewhere to rest all day while waiting for pest control, with no compensation. The customer service was horrible, especially after paying so much to enjoy my week.
