Fairways Inn of Naples

The room was dirty, uncomfortable, and seemed poorly maintained. Sure, they had shower gel and shampoo, but that's the bare minimum and doesn't make up for the condition. The service was the worst part. I left an expensive personal item in the room by accident. We were already on a road trip, so going back wasn't possible. The hotel confirmed they'd found it. I politely asked if they could send it to our next destination, and offered to pay all shipping and handling. After that, nothing. They didn't reply, even when I followed up. If they couldn't help, they could have just said so. Ignoring a guest after confirming you have their belongings is disrespectful and unprofessional. That's unacceptable service from any hotel, whatever its category.

The hotel was clean and had a really nice feel. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, a very comfortable mattress, and a continental breakfast with all the basics. The rooms were great too. Megan?!, the blonde woman at reception, was lovely and happy to help with anything. Only good things to say, I'd totally recommend staying here!

The reception woman was lovely, and the grounds and outdoor facilities were beautiful and very well kept. The location is excellent too. Our beds were comfortable and the room was spotless, though its decor and especially the bathroom fittings were dated. We stayed one night in twin room 362 at Fairways Inn of Naples. There was a noticeable damp, musty smell that made the stay difficult. We'd asked for a first-floor room because I use crutches, but were told there wasn't one available, so we didn't ask to switch rooms. The shower was also very hard to operate. Water came on easily, but switching it from the tub spout to the showerhead took my husband several minutes and a lot of force. The room's condition kept us from enjoying what is otherwise a great hotel.

The weak water pressure at the bathroom sink was the main downside. At times it was barely more than a drip. Fairways Inn in Naples feels like a classic Florida roadside motel. It's two floors, with simple amenities, and works well for a night on the road or an “economic” Florida trip. The rooms are big, quiet, and comfortable, with a giant king bed that made for a good night's sleep. Sitting outside in the lush garden by the pool gives the place a nice tropical feel. A solid 4/5 for what it is.
