They let me check in early, and I appreciated that, but it cost me almost $150 and I didn’t even stay overnight. The room itself was dirty, run down, and smelled awful. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was cigarette smoke.

On our last night, housekeeping didn’t leave toilet paper or coffee after cleaning the room. When I asked, the first person lied and said coffee wasn’t available, but then they contacted housekeeping, which had plenty of it. Earlier, the first room they gave us was disgusting and dirty, so they moved us. In the new room the toilet was clogged. They said there was a plunger behind the vending machines. I managed to clear it, but fecal matter got on the floor, and housekeeping took forever to come clean it up.

Roaches in the room. It was filthy too, with stains everywhere and a dirty sink. Even the clean towels had hair stuck to them. Don’t stay here.

The town felt really unsafe to us, though I don’t blame the hotel for that. It’s generally a bad area, and being right down from a police station didn’t make the whole town feel safe. Still, the location is convenient, with everything within 1-2 miles. Our room was another problem: the floor was nasty, and although we had a pet, it smelled really bad in there. I saw and killed a baby roach on the nightstand. The place needs remodeling and pest control. The heater was also way too hot. During the blizzard we set it to 70, but I had to get up multiple times to turn it off and even turn on the air. We lowered it to 68 and it still got too hot.
