Tru by Hilton North Platte

I slept well in a quiet, clean room with no issues. It looked a bit empty, and there was just some breakfast in the lobby, where I only had tea. The hotel is pretty new and well organised, and seems mostly set up for people traveling on I-80. There are a couple of restaurants nearby, and the employees were very friendly. I had a nice stay.

My only complaint is that there's no guest laundry. The room is small but efficient, and the rooms are always clean and smell nice. There's no moldy odor like in a lot of other hotels. Great hotel.

It's still a new place and too pretty to let dirt take over. On arrival, we could see fingerprints everywhere in the room. The shower was worse, with stains at the bottom of the door and hair on the wall. It was nasty, and I didn't expect that at Tru. The hotel itself is pretty, but the rooms were dirty. If there's a head housekeeper, they need to wake up and start checking the rooms, or find someone else quickly who'll preserve what makes this hotel unique. Otherwise it'll start looking like a Motel 6 soon, and its image will go downhill fast. Preserve it.

The staff here were great, and the place was clean and friendly, just what we wanted for a rest while traveling. We picked Tru after looking up local hotel reviews when we got to North Platte. There’s no pool, and the exercise room is pretty much there in name only, but that wasn’t a big deal for us.
