The jacuzzi was the reason we chose this room, but it never worked properly. Filling the tub took nearly four hours, then the jets sent water up toward the ceiling and soaked the room. The place was cold, not clean enough, and clearly poorly maintained. A night meant to be relaxing became uncomfortable and frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially for the jacuzzi, which didn’t work as advertised.

We were close enough to events and places to visit, and there was a decent diner in the same parking lot. The room itself was nothing like the pictures, and the bed was full size, not queen. We also didn’t get the room we booked, and the service was terrible. The heating and cooling unit was filthy, there were blood spots in the room, and the caulking and molding were cracked in several places. No fitted sheet on the bed, and the pillows were so worn out they stayed flat even after I tried fluffing them. We could hear everything from the next room as soon as we arrived. There’s no soundproofing, so keep your voice down if you stay, the walls seem to hear it all.

We got there after midnight and fell asleep, but in the morning I found a brown bloodstain on a pillow. When we raised it with the manager, they blamed us, even though we weren’t bleeding anywhere and the stain looked like it had been there for a while. The manager and possibly the housekeeper basically called us liars. Then they asked us twice to give them $50 cash so they could refund the card. After asking a third time, they said never mind because we were taking too long, so we drove off. I rarely leave reviews, but this needs saying. The room also looked nothing like the online pictures. Ask whether the photos match the room before booking, or you could be very disappointed.

I handed the keys back within an hour and would rather have slept in my car. Bugs and mold were the first things I noticed, the bed and carpets weren’t clean, and water kept dripping in the shower. It was a total slum. This was the only hotel or motel available within 75 miles the night before Memorial Day, and it cost over $400, more than the four-star hotel I’d stayed in in NYC the previous night.

Julie and Mario, the housekeepers, were real professionals, always helpful and greeting us with a smile. We stayed three nights and loved it. The rooms were beautiful and extremely clean, and the customer service was pleasant and really helpful. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend the place if you’re in the area. Hope you get the same positive experience we did. Room 116.
