The room was dirty, dated, and the door wouldn't lock. I didn't see bugs during our night there, but the place had me anxious the whole time. I counted at least six knocks at the door in less than 24 hours. A woman in the next room told me she'd lived there for eight months and shared some awful stories. She said people had died in those rooms, and I was told there was no Wi-Fi. We'd moved here for one night after 28 days at the Travelers Motor Lodge in N Smithfield, because of a policy between the partnered motels, apparently. The older man who owns this place gave my boyfriend and his brother a hard time at check-in. We paid $75 for the night. Around 8am the next morning, my boyfriend explained that he had to work until 4 and would pay the late checkout fee. The manager agreed, with an attitude. Around noon, while I was naked and asleep, the older man came into my room without calling. From 12-4pm he kept knocking and checking that we were leaving, even though we'd already said we were just waiting for a ride. He watched from outside while we carried our things out, right up until we left. That was a horrible experience. Travelers Motor Lodge has much nicer staff and far better rooms for the same price, without the owner's harassment. I strongly advise people not to stay here.
