BackCountry Inn

The solid wood bathroom doors were a nice detail, and the room itself was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We stayed two nights in a “gold” room, arriving around midnight with a reservation. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of linen, with clear instructions and friendly staff. I enjoyed the small continental breakfast and the mountain setting in this small Colorado ski country community near Telluride. I was very impressed and would stay again when I return.

Those beds are amazing, does anyone know what mattress brand they use? This is the best hotel in the area. Book a couple weeks ahead, though, because they fill up fast. 😎

The staff were so friendly and courteous, and the breakfast was a pleasant surprise. It’s a small town inn, and we enjoyed our two-night stay. I’d recommend it to everyone, and when we come back, we’ll stay here again. They’re so pleasant, I’d give them 10 stars.

The views around here are stunning, and the service alone deserves 6/5. Chris from the staff was incredibly kind and helped us with a few things he didn’t have to. We live in a heavily populated area, so this isolated location caught us unprepared and we were scrambling to find somewhere to stay. He even came up to the hotel after hours to rent us a room. If you need a place in the area, you can’t go wrong here. We’d give it six stars if we could.
