The hotel was clean and pleasant, and the location worked really well. Breakfast was good for what it cost. Most of the staff were great, but the woman at the front desk during check-in wasn’t very friendly and didn’t respond well to our questions, which is why I’m giving service four stars.

The pool was heated, and the hot tub was properly hot and relaxing. Both rooms we were shown were super clean and tidy, and the snacks downstairs had a good selection without crazy prices. The front desk staff member was juggling everything and still so sweet. For guests aged 18-20, the deposit is $250, compared with just $100 for those 21 and up. They checked the room right away and returned it, which was much better than at other hotels I’ve stayed at. We had a great time, the prices were fabulous, and I’d recommend it 10/10.

The location is a real plus, with plenty of places to eat nearby, and the building had a welcoming, homey feel. At this price, the stay was decent, though several problems kept it from being great. We liked the pool and hot tub most of all. The area was well kept and open until midnight, with adults-only time after 8:30 pm. That rule didn’t seem to be monitored, though, since families with kids were swimming around 9-9:30 on two nights. We also saw cups left there from the night before. Towels were often unavailable, so we used our bath towels, which stayed damp because housekeeping didn’t come on weekends. Breakfast was enough to get by on, with very few hot choices each day, though the options rotated and the pancake and waffle makers were adequate. Staff greeted us warmly and check-in was straightforward. The lobby, halls, and shared spaces were clean and nicely finished. Our room was spacious and fairly clean, with a strong clean smell when we walked in. The TV, AC, and lights worked, the mattress and pillows were adequate, and the plumbing was fair. There were several things that seemed easy to catch before arrival: the toilet seat was loose and couldn’t be tightened, the bathroom fan didn’t work, and there was a small stain on the bedsheet. A sharp point, possibly a nail, stuck up where tile met carpet. We stepped on it painfully a few times, and it snagged and tore our socks. The mini fridge also didn’t work quite right. The sink faucet sprayed instead of giving a steady stream, shower pressure was weak, and the curtains let in light, though they were sufficient for us. We didn’t report these issues because none felt critical and we were out most of the time.

I had a really nice stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and I loved the free coffee, it was delicious. I’d stay here again if I come back.
