Bay Breeze Inn

The staff were attentive and especially helpful in arranging a private surprise for my partner, which went flawlessly. The food and drinks were fantastic, fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. We felt very secure, and there were lovely touches like candlelit lounges, scenic views and cozy corners that made the stay memorable. Our room was stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. With excellent accommodations, great service, delicious meals and drinks, and a peaceful setting, this inn was exceptional in every way. A must-visit if you're looking to relax, feel secure and make memorable moments.

Check-out was easy enough, except for the third thing that seemed to have slept with us: a huge toenail clipping. No, we hadn't cut our toenails during the stay. By then, it was already a strange night. We needed somewhere at the last minute after our flight was canceled, and this came up as the highest rated option on Booking.com. We arrived at night, so didn't get much feel for the area, though the vibe seemed to be stay in your room. The service was kind and check-in went smoothly. The room was another story. There was dust on surfaces and dirt along the floor, but for a cheap one-night stay I could usually let that go. Then I found lots of long black hairs in the bed and called the front desk for clean sheets. They said there were none and I had to wait for the supervisor in the morning. My partner went down, staff checked several other rooms, and finally found one that looked cleaner, with no visible hair on the bed. We were relieved, and the man at the desk was wonderfully helpful and apologetic. After wrapping myself in a weighted blanket of multi-screen disassociation, I was almost ready for bed. The hand towel had what looked like blood stains. The washcloths had embedded hairs that I can only hope were short curly beard hairs, so I skipped washing my face. We just needed to sleep and leave in the morning. Then, under the covers, something tickled my toe. I pulled it out and found a big clump of black hair attached. I jumped up and checked the bed. Under the single-ply flat sheet draped over the mattress cover, there were more big clumps of black hair on the cover. Somehow, sleep-deprived, we pushed past it and started to doze off. Then someone began playing a game of baseball against the side of a truck, using what I can only assume were 30-40 metal pipes. It went on for 45-60 minutes. Even though the service was lovely, we would've been better off sleeping face down on the airport floor.

My family was displaced for a while and ended up here unexpectedly. It gave us a clean, well-kept and truly affordable place to sleep while we kept up our daily work and school schedules. This is a great place to stay, and I've recommended it to everyone traveling this way.

Check-in was easy, the room was clean and there was plenty of parking. The manager was very gracious and approved a refund for my second night after I realized the motel was too far from my son's new apt. I'd come to town to help him get the new place set up.
