Nights Inn Motel

The staff were friendly and gave me an early check-in when I booked for one night to see a show at the nearby Fox Theater. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, and the AC and heater worked. The price was good, but I probably won’t return. The room was pretty grimy. There was a leftover blunt on the AC, and I’m not sure how thoroughly the cleaning crew had cleaned. I also saw what looked like dried blood near the shower. There was a TV, but it only showed Cops nonstop, and the picture turned to static whenever the box randomly went out. There was supposedly free Wi-Fi, and staff confirmed the network name, but I couldn’t connect. No microwave or fridge either.

I moved in yesterday. At 3:30 a.m. last night, a dog woke me and my four kitties by barking loudly. I went outside to ask them to please close their window, but the man verbally abused me and walked toward my room, so I went back inside. I told the owner today, and he said they were fighting. I can’t understand why he keeps letting them stay after their time is up. I’ll keep an eye on how long they stay. I’m here for 11 more days, so I’ll be watching and listening. Also, on my first full day here, my key card wouldn’t unlock the door from outside.

My room had no towels, the AC had no panels to direct the airflow, and there were cigarette burns on the sheet and blood stains on the floor. I would not stay here again.

There was only a trickle of water in the shower, no towels, a dresser without handles, and fist-sized holes in the walls. The room was fairly clean.
