I booked online for 7 days at the lowest price, but lasted only a couple of hours because the place wasn’t livable. There were no towels, toilet paper, or TV remote, and the TV itself was busted. No refrigerator, no air conditioner, and the heat was always on. You could hear conversations through the walls and make out everything people said. It should have been condemned a long time ago. I went back the next day hoping to find a homeless person to give the room to, but none of them would take it. From what I read, some place in Hong Kong owns it. Don’t take my word for it, try it and tell me what you think. Good luck.

I wish I could give zero stars. The room was filthy, with flies, broken appliances and TV, and a disgusting bathroom. When I asked for soap, they told me, “We dont use that here”. The worst room I’ve ever seen. This place is uninhabitable.

I paid a month’s rent through Cash App at 12:30pm, three days early. Four hours later, managers Marzella and Mundo came at my room, demanding $200 in cash or saying they’d tow my car and leave me sleeping in the street. They tried to kick the door in and kicked the wall so hard that a piece of window glass broke out. They weren’t interested in my proof of payment. I’m a SWF, and they wanted their take.

COCKROACHES!!!! When I turned on the light, four roaches were crawling on the floor. The room was FILTHY DIRTY, with burn holes in the blanket, a broken window, hair clogging the tub drain, and a plunger left there. The conditions were hazardous and unsanitary. The night shift employee was extremely helpful and friendly, even in such a horrendous work environment. UNHEALTHY, TERRIBLE, AND EXTREMELY TOXIC ENVIRONMENT. I fully agree this building should be condemned. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

My husband and I booked one night through Priceline for $117.98, for 8/12/24. We’re from the Town/Bay Area, and to be clear, Oakland and San Francisco are separate cities in California. There are two different places with this name in different locations, based on some reviews, but this is about International Casa at 5714-5720 International Boulevard, Oakland, California. The property looked sketchy from outside. The person who said he was the janitor also handled guest services at the front entrance, which looked like a family home, and he appeared allegedly intoxicated. He gave us a key to see a room. Getting there meant passing old furniture and what looked like animal, human, or other poop. When my husband opened the door, large black roaches dropped from the ceiling and crawled under the bed and everywhere else. The bedding looked like it had been there since the 60s without ever being washed. I saw all this from the doorway and couldn’t make myself go in. I sat in the car, while my husband looked at another room. He stepped in poop there, and although he saw no roaches or other bugs, the room hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet was nasty. I called Priceline, but they said a refund depended on International Casa agreeing as a courtesy. I filed a claim with our bank and booked another room at the Raddison, which was beautiful. When I called Priceline again on 9/4, I got the same runaround. I can only imagine what the naked eye can’t see at International Casa Oakland, California. If you care about your physical, mental, and emotional health, please take my advice. Zero-star rooms, zero-star service, zero-star location. Take the hotel description with a grain of salt. Priceline says we’re VIP Gold Members, really? Unfortunately, I have no photos of this nightmare.
