The room was the biggest problem: Room 118 smelled strongly, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly, and I saw a roach inside. I took pictures. When I reported it, the front desk employee said several cleaners had walked out that day. I understand staffing can be difficult, but guests should still get a room that meets basic cleanliness standards. This was my second stay at the Avid Hotel in Ocala. I came back because my first visit in December 2025 had gone well, and I liked that I could bring my daughter and our pets. The next morning, I raised the issue again at checkout. Another employee said the general manager was on leave and that my details would be left for her so she could contact me. As of March 4, 2026, I still haven’t received a call or email. After thinking of Avid Hotel as a possible home away from home when traveling with my pets, I’m very disappointed that no one followed up. It makes me feel like my concern wasn’t taken seriously.

For a one-night stop on a road trip, this was good value. It’s close to Highway I-75, and the property seemed well kept. My room was clean, modern, and comfortable. Breakfast was just okay, but enough for a quick stay. As a Platinum Elite member, I was disappointed that nobody acknowledged that at check-in or offered welcome snacks. I’d still stay again for the convenient location and cleanliness.

The stay was fabulous, very clean and nice, and I’d definitely recommend it. They really need some sweet tea in the building, though. Also, a bigger sign would make the place easier to spot from the road.

This visit was excellent, a big change from my stay here a year ago. The rooms were really clean, breakfast was fresh, and the staff were friendly when I checked in. The new GM seems present and invested in keeping things running smoothly. I’d absolutely recommend the hotel to family or friends visiting the area.

The bed was so comfortable, and the room was spotless, nicely decorated, and roomier than I expected. Staff were warm and welcoming throughout, and went out of their way to make the stay feel just right. I had a fantastic time from beginning to end.
