Candlewood Suites Ocala I-75 by IHG

I loved the tissue and towel origami so much that I left some of it untouched. The room was very clean, and the Saatva bed was comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and there was little to no road noise. The room had more good TV channels than I’ve seen at other hotels. It also had a nice kitchen with a full-size fridge. I brought my own travel Keurig because I like its coffee better. The hotel is convenient to the FAST complex and just a short drive from a large shopping and restaurant pavilion. I’d definitely stay again.

The beds were too soft for us. If it takes extra effort just to roll over, that’s too soft, though I know some guests like the “super soft” feel. The other issue was the desk chair. It was dirty, with upholstery ripped in several places, the worst piece of hotel furniture I’ve seen. The room itself was clean and in good repair otherwise. I showed photos to the front desk, and they said the chair would be removed or replaced, but nothing was done during our stay. Those two things are why I couldn’t give the place four or five stars.

The room had a kitchenette, and the bathroom and bed were spotless. Great job, I liked the room a lot. My only gripe was the price quote: the front desk guy asked for $130 while 15 websites showed $86. I showed him, and he corrected it. I’d recommend this hotel for a travel stop.

Ocala, Florida’s Firefighting capital. We spent the weekend here and had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. There’s also a nice little lobby store with fresh-ground coffee.
