Ocean 7

The location is great, just a block from the beach, and we've already stayed at Ocean 7 three times. Each visit, the room was very clean and presentable, with a fun atmosphere. Service has always been extremely friendly and accommodating to what we need. I'd highly recommend staying here.

We got a nice, clean room, and the pool was heated. The staff were friendly, and the hotel is conveniently close to the boardwalk. My only problem was the single bathroom in the lobby. If you haven't got your room yet, it can take a while to use it. They did start giving out beach passes early.

The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable, though the bathroom was very small. We also had a kitchenette, which we didn't end up using. The best part was the location: it's a short walk to the boardwalk shops and attractions, including arcades and mini golf, and our two windows looked toward both the beach and ocean on one side and the boardwalk and the waterpark next door on the other. With Wonderland closed, though, getting to Playland's Castaway Cove meant a long walk. We stayed August 16-19th and were very satisfied. Desk staff were friendly and helpful, and always greeted us with a smile as we came through the lobby. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommend, and we'll be back.

The location is the one real plus, with the Boardwalk and ocean just steps away. From our fourth-floor room, the so-called view was mostly the backs of buildings and parking lots. The bed had no mattress protector, which I found disgusting. The bathroom was old, there were hairs from previous guests in the tub, and the shower curtain smelled awful. The pool felt like it was 85-90 degrees, so we skipped it. There weren't any pool towels, and the woman at the desk didn't seem to care when I asked. I wouldn't recommend this place or return unless you don't expect to spend much time in the room.
