Plaza 712 - 2 Br Condo

We stayed in condo 510 from 7/20-7/27. On arrival, the air conditioner wasn't working and the floors were soaked, even behind the sofa. There was a dirty sneaker print on the wet floor, a brown stain on the comforter, a red stain on the bed skirt, and a wet towel under the bed. The balcony screen door was broken and leaning against the building. I reported it all on day one, and a plaza staff member came up and saw everything. He removed the AC vent and found a filthy filter; the unit wasn't working. We got a dirty fan for the night, and another had to sit on the floor because everything was so wet. We had to keep our shoes on inside. The staff member saw the wet area behind the sofa himself when he pulled it out to reach the AC. A cleaner came the next day and the AC was fixed the following afternoon. I asked for one night's refund, which seemed fair, though I felt we deserved more, but the owners refused.

My daughter rented a really nice condo here and invited us to stay. We had an ocean view, and the staff were very friendly.

The unit and its owner are fantastic, but the building's general management were a very unfriendly bunch. We were here during hurricane Erin for the first time, so some beach days were restricted. The indoor pool was filthy when I went, and I saw two children in diapers in the hot tub with their parents. The outdoor pool had plenty of chairs but only two umbrellas for people needing shade. When I asked the lifeguard to put one over a couple of chairs by the pool, he shook his head and said they were broken before I'd even finished asking. There were four broken umbrellas sitting there. Shouldn't management replace them? I wasn't happy with the way management treated me. If I owned these units at the Pla-, I'd complain about how they treat guests.

Families would find the beach and pool access especially convenient, and the amenities and location are great. There's a tiki bar right outside and a quaint Italian restaurant on the premises. We had a fantastic stay in Ocean City.
