Sifting Sands Motel

The place was quiet, close to the beach, and had friendly staff. It's a great spot overall, though the floor in our room was really dirty when we checked in, with sand and hair on it.

I didn't like the first room we were given, but management quickly sorted things out and moved my husband and me to a lovely, clean, updated room. That's excellent customer service. We're very happy here and would recommend the place. The pool is lovely, and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

The room was a little tight for three people, but we managed, and the area was very quiet. We liked the pool, and although we didn't use it, there's a grill by the pool if you want to cook. Dogs are welcome, which was hard to find around NJ, though the fee was on the high side at $60.00 per night. The beach is two blocks away. This was our first time at the OC NJ beach. It's smaller than OC MD, so people are closer together on the sand. I heard the beach gets bigger farther down.

We were a group of 22, with five rooms and kids from ages 2 to 16, and the rooms were pretty, clean, and spacious. I was in room 29, which had bunk beds, a couch bed, a small separate room with a full-size bed, and two TVs. The fridge wasn't full-size, but it wasn't tiny. Some appliances were a little dated, though they worked for our seven-day stay. Our kids loved the pool, open from 9am to 9pm. We brought our small dog, which was one reason we chose this place. It's only a couple of blocks from the boardwalk and beach. Maid service was great, and they brought whatever we asked for, including toilet paper, trash bags, and towels. Melba answered my questions and concerns over the months before our stay. We'd come back and recommend Sifting Sands Motel. Thanks for a pleasant family vacation!
