Simple Life Motel

The room was large and spacious, with two beds on a sofa, an electric stove, a fridge, and a table already set up. We hadn't researched much and just went to look at several hotels. Most were pricey, but this one was affordable. We hesitated over the deposit, then went ahead because it was reasonable and lower than deposits at nearby hotels. There are two outdoor pools and one indoor pool. I preferred the outdoor one, even though some paint around it was chipped. It was fantastic. The pool is marked as three feet deep, but felt closer to four, so be careful. The indoor pool felt too stuffy to me. I also liked having a McDonald's right across the street. I'd definitely return.

I booked more than a month and a half ahead and had a confirmed stay from Thursday, August 14th, 2025, through Saturday, August 16th, 2025. Then the reservation was canceled without warning or explanation. I was left without a place to stay and had to find last-minute lodging for more than twice the original cost. My messages were read and ignored, and calling brought no help. There was no accountability or basic support in sorting it out. The way they handled communication showed no regard for guests' time, money, or travel plans. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed, won't book here again, and advise others to look elsewhere.

We won't be coming back. The first room was filthy, with dirty dishes in the sink, half the ceiling missing, messy beds, and trash and clothes all over. The front desk moved us to another room, which was clean, thankfully, but the shower head was hanging loose and the water barely got warm. They also entered the room even though I'd put up a sign asking them not to come in.

Hi again, you lovely ray of sunshine! I didn't stay here, and I'll advise people not to stay either. My friend and her boyfriend stayed for one night of their four-night booking. Kicking people out can make sense if they've actually broken rules, but doing it because they picked up a towel while you were having a bad day isn't acceptable. The police even said you were out of line and your behavior was ridiculous. You told them to leave, so they had to. As the owner, you can throw anyone out, even for a silly reason. You need to learn how to run a business, stop using vulgar language with guests, and stop refusing refunds. Are you that broke? Guests should get a nice stay, but you can't even clean rooms before new people arrive. There was sand in the beds and the sheets weren't washed. I can't imagine how dirty your house must be. Also, it's “were,” not “where.” Go back to school! I've attached my photo so you know who I am and that I didn't stay there. Add me to your long list of banned people if you like ;)
