Sun N Fun Motel

Sun n fun motel made senior week amazing for my friends and me. The place really exceeded my expectations. Our room was spotless and tidy, and it smelled great. Theresa, the maid, was kind to us and brought supplies whenever we needed them. We had hot water, internet, and easy access to clean sheets and towels. It’s a great location, near good restaurants, a block from the beach, and a few streets from the boardwalk. It was affordable too, so I’d definitely recommend Sun n fun motel. Thanks to the staff for making our stay incredible!

The parking lot is small, but it worked fine. The room was spotless and smelled great, with surprisingly comfortable, well-kept beds. The air conditioner got really cold, and the clean bathroom had plenty of towels, washcloths, and other toiletries. WiFi worked great too. The woman at the front desk was a sweetheart and very professional. I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels in OC. This place was ideal for the staff, room, location, and nearby amenities. It was ridiculously cheap and exceeded my expectations for an average “2 star” hotel. I don’t know why anyone would have anything negative to say. 10/10.

The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and my boyfriend and I are easygoing, especially since we work in customer service. We were excited to stay until we saw the room. There were stains everywhere, in the bathroom, on the floor and lampshades, plus huge marks on the box spring. The bed was hard as a rock, though it felt nice after a long day at the beach. The bathroom floor was peeling up, and that’s where we met our friend Richard the Roach. We only saw one roach, but it was enough to make us leave as soon as checkout came around. It was just a place to sleep at night, and the price should be lower given the poor condition. The location seems to be the only reason it costs more.

The room itself was fine for the whole week, and the stay was wonderful. My one-star rating is because of the cash payment at check-in, so be careful if you pay that way. I was told the amount due after our deposit was $792 and change, so I gave the man $793. A week later at checkout, the receipt said I’d only paid him $702 in cash. I called the property owners, and they said the books matched, so there wasn’t really anything they could do. It wasn’t their fault, but still, watch out if you’re paying cash.
