The Beach House

The rooms were decent, but thin walls meant a rough night with the dogs and loud kids next door. We had a terrible stay and left two days early. My wife, three kids, and I were booked for four nights in mid August 2025. We stayed two nights, gave up the third night even though we left around 3pm rather than at the 10am checkout, and asked for a refund for the final night we wouldn’t use. We repeatedly tried to raise our issues and told them we’d checked out early, but got no answer. A month later, we were still trying to get that last night refunded through our credit card company, with no response from the hotel. It feels like this place is run by AI. There’s no front desk, and you’re lucky if a real person responds to a problem. They might text back if they can or want to, but calls are useless because nobody answers. If they don’t want to respond, you hear nothing. Parking was a mess, too. Each unit is supposed to have one space, but nobody enforces it. Someone took our spot and we had no way to find out who. They did answer that complaint by text, telling me to park anywhere. Not much help, but at least I knew they’d received my messages. The AI management was useless. The location is a block from the beach, but don’t assume that means there’s room to spread out. The beach around 8th and 9th streets is narrow, with pipes and rocks, and on weekends there’s nowhere to set up. It widens farther down toward 14th and 16th streets, so you’d have to walk toward 14th. Look at a satellite view for yourself. The location isn’t as good as it sounds. We’re fighting the company for the final night’s refund. This place was the worst. Don’t go, find somewhere else.
