White Marlin Inn

My fiancée and I went to the front desk about the black mold, but the attendant wouldn't cancel the booking or refund us. I'm now filing a claim with my credit card company, something I've never needed to do before. In property management, I'd call the room they gave us uninhabitable. I've worked in property management for more than thirteen years, and this is easily one of the worst places I've come across. Black mold covered the AC units, walls, furniture, and bathrooms. The rooms were infested, and when I opened the refrigerator, mold got all over my hands. For your health and that of your family and friends, stay away from this place.

The rooms were tiny and nothing like the pictures, with uncomfortable beds and a shower smaller than a mini fridge that flooded the entire bathroom. We stayed in September 2024 for Oceans Calling, and the location worked well for the event. The prices were gouged so badly it should be illegal. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, a truly trashy establishment.

We couldn't stay in the room because it was so awful, and they refused to return any of our money. I'm filing a grievance now. I couldn't even stay long enough to take pictures. The staff were very rude. Don't trust the photos. The room was dirty and so cramped you could hardly move, with beds only a little wider than twins. There were drug addicts all around. It's shameful to advertise it falsely and take people's money. Think twice before booking.

Room 202 was very rinky-dinky for our weeklong stay. At least there were no bugs, thank God, but even for two people the maids seemed to think one towel, one washcloth, and one roll of toilet paper would last the whole week. The only trash can was a tiny bathroom one. The shower curtain had mold along the bottom, the bathroom sink had no hot water, and we had to flush several times because of low water pressure. The fridge was badly rusted along the bottom and didn't seal well. No microwave in the room. The dresser drawers smelled moldy and barely opened. One night the big mirror fell off the wall. There were no curtains, and the porch lights stayed on all night, making the room really bright even with the blinds down. The Wi-Fi was awful, the TV barely worked and had lines across the screen, and the bathrooms were tiny. There was already sand on the floor and bed when we arrived. There's no service desk at the White Marlin Inn, so check-in is at the Sea Breeze. There isn't an ice machine either. You get what you pay for, I guess. The one good thing is that it's a block from the beach.
